Product summary and Analysis Draft 2: RTX. IT’S ON.

The article, "GeForce RTX 30 Series Graphics Cards: The Ultimate Play" (NVIDIA, 1 September 2020)  introduces the new product, RTX 3090 with new features and improved specifications on a graphics processing units (GPU) to help consumers such as content creators and gamers achieve faster and higher quality graphical rendering on desktops/workstations. The main use of the GeForce RTX 3090 is to help consumers such as creators and gamers, obtain the best work and game performance on a computer with features included "NVIDIA DLSS", "NVIDIA Broadcast" and "HDMI 2.1 Support". The incredible amount of power in processing and the features mentioned above is the reason why the GeForce RTX 3090 is more sought after compared to similar GPUs in the market.

One of the main features of the RTX 3090 is NVIDIA DLSS ( Deep Learning Super Sampling) which utilises a deep learning neural network to render a game at a lower resolution than what is displayed, upscaling it to the monitor's resolution of up to 8K. This neural network uses NVIDIA's supercomputer to increase the effectiveness of its AI model, hence increasing the frame rates and better quality graphics for users. Users are also able to select different quality modes to balance their quality and performance according to their preferences. NVIDIA states that "The GeForce RTX 3090 is the world’s first graphics card that lets you play, capture, and watch in 8K HDR." (NVIDIA, 1 September 2020). This means that with NVIDIA DLSS and the horsepower of this graphics card, creators and gamers would be able to stream and play contents at the same time without using a separate capture card and worrying about stuttering and insufficient computing problems. Therefore, the GeForce RTX 3090 delivers reduced computing time and smoother streaming and gaming experience, gaining more popularity compared to its rivals such as AMD Radeon (AMD, n.d.).

Another main feature of the GeForce RTX 3090 is the NVIDIA Broadcast application which uses AI-powered features to enhance content quality for the user. NVIDIA states "NVIDIA Broadcast app takes your livestreams to the next level with powerful AI capabilities to improve audio and video quality with effects like virtual background, webcam auto frame and microphone noise removal."(NVIDIA, n.d.). The application can eliminate any background noise such as an alarm ringing and a dog barking from a microphone capture, which helped many content creators not to worry about the unnecessary background noises while streaming. It is also capable of following head movements of the user to prevent the loss of focus during content streaming, which its rivals have yet to achieve.

Another feature of the GeForce RTX3090 would be the HDMI 2.1 support that can finally display 8K graphical output at a refresh rate of 60hz. NVIDIA stated that "GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs are the first available to feature HDMI 2.1 support, for single cable output on 8K HDR TVs."(NVIDIA, 1 September 2020) which means that this feature is the world's first on a GPU. HDMI 2.0b or DisplayPort 1.4a support on previous generations of GeForce GPUs had limited bandwidth, so an 8K TV would need 4 HDMI 2.0 cables, or a DP-to-HDMI 2.1 converter. Whereas now only one HDMI 2.1 cable is needed to connect to an 8K screen. Hence the GeForce RTX 3090 is more convenient and affordable to setup compared to rivals such as AMD GPUs with older HDMI supports.

In summary, the GeForce RTX 3090 is combined with groundbreaking technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Broadcast and  HDMI 2.1 support. With NVIDIA DLSS, users have a first-class visual performance with reduced processing time. NVIDIA Broadcast that helps users to achieve a great quality streaming experience with noise reduction and movement tracking feature.
